The first of four pages of a regular publication related to shipping and markets, etc. It was produced for the P&O steamer Bangalore when it delivered its mails.

The whole document is fascinating but the second paragraph relates directly to the beginning of the use of the Overland Telegraph Line. As it notes, the line was then in use even though there was an incomplete section of about 100 miles in the centre.
